The Good Person – Lent Week 5 – Generosity

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 E

vidently the bulk of this series on the Capital Virtues needed to be an in-house discussion, because we had three weeks in a row of varied technological glitches. We apologize for the interruption in service.

In this discussion, the virtue is generosity, and we discuss how it and the other virtues are really ways of establishing trust and freedom.

The Good Person – Lent Week 1 – Diligence

Scripture: Galatians 6:1-10

We’re beginning a study on the Capital Virtues. We know that we don’t earn salvation or belovedness, but if we are saved and beloved, our lives should reflect the virtuous (loving) character of God. The first virtue we’re looking at is “Diligence”–which is a good one to start with, to help us with all the others! But did you know that Diligence not only has an opposing vice, but a less famous vice that occurs when we make diligence an end in itself? How do we walk the line?

Christ In You, the Hope of Glory – Week 4

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:4-18

If Jesus said to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, does that really mean we actually need to love ourselves? What does Christian confidence look like?
